# AI HTML Inspector

Reviewed on 2026-10-06.

## See what’s present in the supplied code

[Content and SEO](/en/solutions/content-and-seo-teams) teams need to distinguish the text shown on screen from the elements actually available in the document. This inspector reads the [HTML](/en/resources/glossary/html-the-web-s-markup-language) you provide and returns verifiable findings: the title content, description, H1, subheading order, and explicit signals of authorship, dates, and [structured data](/en/resources/glossary/structured-data).

The tool does not assign a [visibility score](/en/resources/glossary/visibility-score). It prepares a technical review of a page, with evidence and next steps. Answer quality, originality, accuracy, and audience fit require human review and sources.

## How to get a useful sample

- Open the public page in your browser and select “View Page Source.” Copy the HTML to include both the head, with its metadata, and the main content.
- Paste the code into the field. If you provide only an article excerpt, treat missing metadata as outside the sample, not as confirmed defects on the site.
- Click Inspect HTML. Start with the example to see a document with a title, description, [canonical](/en/resources/glossary/canonical), authorship, and date.
- Compare the findings with the rendered page. Open the extracted text, check [headings](/en/resources/glossary/headings-html-section-titles) and paragraphs, and copy or download the report for review.

## Signals examined and what they mean

The test looks for title and meta description, canonical declarations, the language in html, meta robots and [googlebot](/en/resources/glossary/googlebot), main content, H1, and heading hierarchy. It inspects [JSON-LD](/en/resources/glossary/json-ld) blocks within the same limits as this library’s validator. It records explicit authorship and time/datetime date signals, as well as HTTP(S) links in the main content.

The report distinguishes between “found” and “review.” Finding a link does not prove it is a reliable source; finding author does not confirm someone’s credentials; finding a date does not prove the content is up to date. Absence from an excerpt does not prove absence from the complete document.

## Use the extracted text to support your review

The extracted text brings together headings and paragraphs from the main content. Scripts, styles, navigation, footer, header, SVG, templates, and explicitly hidden elements are excluded. The extraction helps identify confusing hierarchy and off-topic passages, but it does not reproduce how a specific AI engine reads content.

After the inspection, read the introduction and answers in context. Ask whether readers understand the problem, can verify the claims, and find a relevant next step. Don’t turn subheadings, lists, or word counts into an automatic formula for earning citations.

## What this check doesn’t cover

The HTML is parsed into an inert structure in the browser, without executing scripts or inserting the code into the page. The tool does not fetch URLs or send the pasted content. It does not evaluate CSS, content created after JavaScript runs, [HTTP status](/en/resources/glossary/http-status), headers, cookies, network blocks, sitemaps, or actual [indexing](/en/resources/glossary/indexing).

If the page relies on JavaScript to produce content, compare the initial code with the rendered version using browser inspection tools. For a domain diagnosis and monitoring of actual responses, use the platform’s audit and monitoring. This utility covers the supplied sample and does not promise rankings or [AI recommendations](/en/resources/glossary/ai-recommendation).
